Who we are

Ask Alpha ("we", "us") is a wellness coaching service operated by Paul Haydock. We provide personalised health coaching through WhatsApp messaging.

What data we collect

When you use Ask Alpha, we may collect:

• Your name and phone number (provided via WhatsApp)
• Health and lifestyle information you share during coaching conversations (e.g. nutrition, fitness habits, sleep patterns)
• Blood work results you choose to upload
• Supplement information you share
• Voice messages you send (transcribed for coaching purposes)

How we use your data

We use your data solely to provide personalised wellness coaching. Specifically:

• To understand your health profile and provide relevant guidance
• To track your progress over time
• To send proactive coaching messages (e.g. morning check-ins)

AI processing

Ask Alpha uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude API) to process your messages and generate coaching responses. Your conversation data is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Twilio (messaging infrastructure provider)
• Anthropic (AI processing provider)
• Where required by law

Data retention

We retain your data for the duration of your use of the service. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Health data

Health data is classified as special category data under UK GDPR. We process this data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide when you begin using the service. You may withdraw consent at any time by asking us to stop or by contacting us directly.
